Some of Nesmith's Blues (Michael Nesmith Tribute Compilation)

This is an accomplished tribute album to the comeback of Michael Nesmith. It features musicians from all over the world of various genres. Most notable, is Shock Radar's acoustic cover of "Roll with the Flow", Blake Ian's ukelele version of "Different Drum", and Calotype's most impressive electro-rock rendition of "Don't Call on Me". Jo Elless brings a horn section to the cult-classic Nevada Fighter song "Grand Ennui" and So L'il gives a stunning ambient performance of The Monkees gem "Daily Nightly". It's a good collection spanning Nesmith's solo career as well as The Monkees. The coolest part is the diversity in style from song to song. Mike would appreciate this.
