So many good records comin out this year. We just got hit by the Kanye West album. Seems like "Yeezus" is falling behind though, as the new Jay-Z is about to explode. I have listened to the 'leak', and I love it. It's everything you'd expect and more. There are singles/hits, deep cut funk beats, high energy club jams, and some of Jay's best rhymes to date. Among the name drops, nods to cultural nostalgia, Kurt Cobain lyrics and R.E.M. shout outs. I like the current direction Jay's in, a genre of his own: Art-Rap. It's a fantastic record, Jay-Z's at the top of his game.
