I can coexist with this band actively making music, but that doesn't mean I have to like them. I feel like The XX is the new adult contemporay, soft and boring music for old indie rock fans. They've made some decent music in the past, but no need to continue, as their new music is about as relevant to any singular music scene, as Billy Corgan is to the planet. I'm of the opinion that The XX should have been a one album act, and nothing more.
I had the same thought about this album at first listen. After a few rounds, I can't stop listening to it. I'm having earworm all the time. And after more than 100 rounds...I still can't stop listening to it.
