Blondes: Swisher

8.2

Electronic duo Blondes have released their second album "Swisher". It's similar to the previous full length, but more chaotic rhythmically and sonically more stretched out. It seems they are not only continuing in the vein they are known for, but pushing the boundaries a bit further. Some of it is like soundtrack music for a film we're all living in, the perfect score to city life, subways in transit. But they go for more, an ambient approach at times spreading the sounds more colorfully than before and more ambitious. I would say, this is a better record than the last, although Blondes did make one hell of a debut.
