Check Out Mariea Antoinette - My Favorite Things

It is quite rare to find a harpist in 2020, yet musician Mariea Antoinette exceeds the odds. For those that may not be aware, the harp is considered to date back from 15,000 BC (before Christ). Furthermore, this would make the instrument one of oldest musical devices known to human-kind. In addition, it is even more of a coincidence to find a Smooth Jazz, R&B harpist!

In 2018, Mariea won the 2018 Instrumentalist of the Year by the San Diego Prestige Awards. Followed by The 2018 Best Jazz Single for “Overture” by the Black Women in Jazz & the Arts Association. Lastly, she also received a BMA Image Award at the 2018 Black Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Ms. Antoinette was raised in San Diego, California. Additionally, her collection consists of classical, smooth jazz, and R&B. Some of her biggest accomplishments are: performing for the 44th President of the United States Barack and First Lady Michele Obama and at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles as principle harpist for the Southeast Symphony Orchestra. Correspondingly, she attended UC San Diego for undergraduate school majoring in music and continued her education at the University of Arizona for master classes in Harp Performance.

One of Mariea Antoinette’s biggest inspirations was her instructor Elena Mashkovtseva. Moreover, Mariea has performed several times with Ne-Yo on The BET Awards, American Idol, and performances with Nathan East and Greg Phillinganes. Mariea has also performed at national Smooth Jazz festivals such as Seabreeze and Cataline Island with Jazz in Pink, and The San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival, with her own Orchestra. Her discography contains the following:

(Sexy Paradise, Straight from the Harp, and All My Strings). Some of her previous releases were; Loving You (feat. Fattburger), Overture and That Thing. She has performed special events for a host of NFL host, NBA players and A list artists. Mariea has also recorded sessions for various smooth jazz and R&B projects.

For Christmas 2020, Ms. Antoinette will be releasing a new upcoming holiday single on November 27th entitled "My Favorite Things"! Much will be anticipated as the holiday season is approaching fast!
