Fresh off his impressive debut album, Lil Sebby is set to explode on the rap scene with his highly anticipated new single “Sebbrooklyn!*”. The song gives fans a small taste for what’s potentially in store for the star’s new direction but instead of sounding like an expansion of his previous album, it sounds like a smoother and tasty reboot. Listeners already have an idea of what a Lil Sebby song will sound like but “Sebbrooklyn!*” is more sophisticated and straightforward. His style is fresh and the flow just got funkier.
“Sebbrooklyn!*” stands out for its maximalist, slick and polished production. The single is a druggy kaleidoscope of timbres and textures, making room for psychedelic trap drums, hazy synth noises, haunted sound effects, Rihanna-esque vocal swells, futuristic start-stop song hits while remaining cohesive and sonically structured. “Sebbrooklyn!*” is a funhouse trip par excellence, and there are several cuts on the full length album that will surely still be heard booming from clubs, college parties and hiphop radio well into the future.
“Sebbrooklyn!*” is available now on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Apple Music and all the major services.
Boston born Lil Sebby is a Hip Hop artist who is quickly gaining international notoriety and positive acknowledgement from his peers. Now living in Brooklyn, New York, the auto-tune aficionado separates himself from others in the genre with a familiar yet unique twist to the game, regularly bringing exceptional lyrics and captivating live performances to the table. Whether you’re in the mood to jump up and party or just listen to Hip Hop with a spin, Lil Sebby is the ultimate showman.
Lil Sebby’s debut album release, “The Sebbalution!*”, exceeded all expectations, with strong streaming numbers and local buzz helping the record make its way around the underground scene. As a follow up, Sebby’s newest project, “Sebbrooklyn!*”, enters a genre many may find foreign for the 23-year old. While still incorporating his signature autotune and infectious hype, Lil Sebby finds himself tapping into the “drill music” scene for inspiration; providing a whole new outlook on Lil Sebby and his bright future.
“Falling Toward Success”, the new single/video from Rapper/Songwriter/Producer Don Da Menace, is available Friday September 18th on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Apple Music and all the major services.
Featuring his distinctive voice and confident delivery, “Falling Toward Success” is the most anticipated release yet from the East Harlem native. It’s a project that defines Don Da Menace’s five year career so far, a collection of songs that represents the artist better than ever before - from his original compositions into his thoughts and feelings on the unseeable pandemic and social strife that we are facing today.
One listen and you can tell that Don Da Menace is an artist whose music goes way beyond any one genre. It’s truly alternative Hip Hop; from his deep one of a kind voice to his seasoned and intelligent lyricism, Don Da Menace continues to create awareness in many pockets of the NYC underground scene and is poised to make an impact on the international musical landscape, as well.
Born & raised in East Harlem, NYC, Don Da Menace quickly learned the roots of his music. His late father was an artist (by the name of Smoove Da Menace) and became a quick inspiration for him. His father’s deep roots in NYC sounds and Don’s upbringing created the sound thousands around the world have come to love today.
Don has been featured in countless blogs and online channels for his work on singles “Ruby”, “Enough (with Robert Eberle & Versa the Band)” and more. His latest project, Falling Toward Success, Vol. 1, is his first full length mixtape featuring some of his hit songs from previous releases and new sounds he has never experimented with before. Don Da Menace’s takeover is coming - NYC and beyond.
Fast rising hip hop star Jesse Eplan just dropped the smoking new video for his well received slow dance worthy anthem “Bakwoods”, which was released on all the major services earlier this year. The popping track details Jesse’s love and respect for one special woman, and for the recreational activities he enjoys doing only with her; regardless of the endless line of shortys looking to get with him and his green sticky leaf.
After his move to Los Angeles in 2018, Eplan has continued adding to his ever growing musical palette, with strong songs and new fire beats coming seemingly every week. A New York native, Jesse broke major ground with the release of his first two major LP's - 2017's "Trap Harmony" and 2018's "Purple Wave", and the Trap and Hip-Hop world took MAJOR notice of the rising young star through his collaborations with like minded artists like Famous Dex (A$AP Rocky, Lil Pump) and Kontraversy (Grafh, LouGotCash), but it seems we've only seen the tip of the iceberg that is Jesse Eplan.
With his major influences ranging from artists like Future to Lil Uzi Vert, Chris Brown, Smokepurpp, MadeinTYO and Travis Scott - Eplan has taken their flow, hooks, beat selection, and more into account when creating his own music. Geography has also had a major impact - as a NY native, Eplan took what he learned from the ever growing R&B, Hip-Hop, and Trap scene throughout NYC and Long Island and relocated to Tampa, FL where he attended the University of Tampa. This added yet another dynamic to his creativity, says Jesse “Being in Tampa gave me new elements of a more tropical sound to add to my music. From its overall Summer vibes to the scenery, it really spoke to me along with being able to meet new artists, producers, videographers and entrepreneurs to learn from and collaborate with”. This is evident in “Purple Wave”, which he categorizes as very different from the rap music of today’s generation. With tracks like “Cannon” (Feat. Kontraversy) and “Lost Time” he goes from hardened undertones to giving himself a chance to do some soulful singing. “I listen to these tracks and its very magical” he says, “The more people I ask, the more feedback I get on how expansive the album is and how everyone seems to have their own favorite track”.
