Singer/Songwriter Rob Eberle Presents New EP “i can’t say goodbye”

Prolific young Singer/Songwriter/Producer Rob Eberle is proud to present his sophomore ep release, “i can’t say goodbye”, now available on Spotify and all the major music services.

This track is brilliantly made and masterfully composed. It is one of the best singles off Rob Eberle's five song EP of haunting piano requiems and a most impressive and powerful release from the upcoming star composer.

The new single sets an emotional tone for the broken hearted. A beautiful moody love song. The vocals are stunning, the piano chords are chilling and the overall vibe is mysterious and ghostlike. "i can't say goodbye" is a thoughtfully sincere lyrical piece over soft thumping eerie sound effects. Passionate and bluesy, Rob Eberle offers a psychological twist on a love song with his own stylistic personal insight and soulful vocals.

The five song collection is broken up into five different emotions. The feeling of anger shown through the production & lyricism of “wanting more”, the feeling of fear described through “far”, despair through “reckless”, angst through “hope u feel ok” and finally, vulnerability through “there’s not enough time?”

Mist Tower - OBSESSION

Ukraine's Mist Tower, Artyom Matiienko (vocals); Alexandr Hodosevych (guitar); Andrew "djentle.man" (guitar); Yaroslav Starovich (drums) and Simon Buzzkeeper (bass) describe themselves as a band who gathered together to "smoke and play music".

"Obsession" is a very satisfying and enjoyable EP, a collection of five songs that blends elements of heavy psych and stoner metal together with doom but does so without getting overly dark or dense, the band achieving this by allowing plenty of space within the compositions for them to breathe, still keeping things heavy but not over compacting everything so it all becomes a relentless dirge.

"Each of us tried to put in his own obsessions, which follow us every day. It found a way out partly in music, partly in lyrics.
All our songs are about it, in some way we are obsessed with an obsession. It’s hard not to sing about it when you see all this waltz of life around.
We were trying to understand how to set the guitars right, tried different methods, so we had to use math, physics, and even some occult rituals."

Marshall Oakman: She’s No Doll, She’s a Woman

Exhibiting appeal, allure and variety, performing singer-songwriter, Marshall Oakman, has released his second single, She's No Doll, She's A Woman, to Spotify and all the major music services.

Following up on the success of At The Boiling Point, the first single from an upcoming new EP, She's No Doll, She's A Woman again features the work of legendary New York-based musicians, Kasim Sultan, on bass, Liberty Devitto, on drums and Paul Pesco, on guitar.

She’s No Doll, She’s a Woman is about recognizing, with appreciation, the indispensable significance and depth women have in our lives. This is underscored by stating they are not dolls, things or property.

At about six years of age, Marshall first fixed his eyes on a piano. Pressing down on the black and white shapes, he discovered a timbre and texture that revealed magical keys to open doors that never close. As time passed, songs were born, flowing with a life of their own. Over the years, Oakman has honed his craft, creating a vast catalogue spanning a lifetime.

His compositions showcase vibrant, iconic pop/rock shimmers with Beatlesque harmonies, blending timeless themes, thoughtfully embraced and melded to magnetic melodies. Listeners will find themselves hitting repeat and play, over and over again.

Marshall’s recorded music includes top musicians who have performed and/or recorded with Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Daryl Hall, Madonna, Hall & Oates, Steve Winwood, Jennifer Lopez, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Richie Sambora, Indigo Girls, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Blue Oyster Cult, Todd Rundgren, Patti Smith, Meat Loaf, The New Cars, Alicia Keys, Gary U.S. Bonds and Mitch Ryder.

From Long Island, regularly performing at many venues in the area, including, The Cabana in Long Beach, Reel in East Rockaway, Mulcahy's in Wantagh and Kasey's Rooftop in Rockville Centre, Marshall has energetically driven his skills as a spirited performer in regions along and beyond the East Coast such as the New York metropolitan area, upstate New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Chicago.

Upcoming gigs:

The Cabana, Long Beach - Sat 9/25/21
Bacaro, Massapequa Park - Sat 10/9/21
Kitty O'Hara's, Baldwin - 10/23/21

In line with the positive spark of his song, Nothing’s Holding Me Back, which is part of the soundtrack for the independently produced film "Townies", from Marshall’s album entitled 24/SEVEN, Marshall is hopeful his music will encourage and inspire fans to appreciate and enjoy the gift of life every day.

Yet another stunning single from Henriette Sennenvaldt ✨

Our latest signing has a new track for you! Henriette Sennenvaldt of the widely acclaimed Danish band Under Byen has released 'Clumsy', the second single of her upcoming debut solo album, Something Wonderful.

Following the New York Times review of her debut single, 'New Skill', Sennenvaldt has given us 'Clumsy'; an exploration of repetition, confusion, and ecstasy. Sennenvaldt explains, "I travelled to Chicago and spent days walking about the city, looking at life in a different place. I saw a work by Spencer Finch in which a solar-powered ice cream truck served cones the colors of the sunset. I saw a photo series by Carrie Schneider in which a house keeps burning over the course of several seasons. I wanted this song to be shaped like waking up from the same dream several times. Repetitive, but not repetitive enough for you to relax, quiet but noisy at the same time, like not knowing which reality to put your money on. The saxophones of the song are nerve-like to me, fast and anxious, and loud. The drums are like a muscular kid. Too big, too small, not quite right, that sort of awkwardness was always fascinating to me." Listen to this haunting new track wherever you get your music, and stay tuned for the music video premiere later this week.

Something Wonderful is out November 13th. Pre-order it now on limited-edition, orange crush vinyl.

Lotion Princess Shares New Single "Retrospect," Double-Single Out Now

On Friday, Lotion Princess released their new single "Retrospect," part of their double-single release "In The Summer / Retrospect" out now on all platforms. Last week, Northern Transmissions premiered the track, an honest and meditative song, in which songwriter Sasha Fried-Snoad delivers bittersweet vocals over a minimalist, refreshing instrumental. "Retrospect" comes out of a place of nostalgia and painful, but positive, growth. Fried-Snoad looks back on a series of tough personal dynamics that taught her a lot about herself and how to navigate relationships, with friends, lovers, and everything in between.

In July, Lotion Princess released "In The Summer", a fiery look back on a heated summer romance. The Line Of Best Fit offered the first look at the song, describing it as "running through the emotional complexities of one fleeting summer fling, Lotion Princess' delicate and soothing new song is made for when the sun sets late at night, but a darkness bubbles underneath." Together, the double-single paints a complete picture of heartache, acceptance, and personal growth. "In The Summer / Retrospect" is available on all digital streaming platforms and Bandcamp now.

Sasha Elisabeth started Lotion Princess in 2016 in a house known by its community as The Giant Peach following the worst breakup of her life, and she hasn’t held anything back since. Lotion Princess found roots in the DIY music scene in Washington, DC, where she met friends and collaborators who joined up with the project, Katie Parker (bass, vocals), Andrew Grossman (guitar) and Tommy Sherrod (drums).

With a sound that’s been called “an aural form of a cathartic walk in the woods” (DCist), Sasha delves into deeply personal narratives surrounding queer love and heartache, mental health, attachment, and their ever developing intersections. Hypnotic melodies and haunting vocals are a window into the world of the 28 year old pop song writer’s search for meaning and abundance.

From Beantown to Brooklyn - The Sebbalution!* Continues as Lil Sebby Releases Sebbrooklyn!*

Fresh off his impressive debut album, Lil Sebby is set to explode on the rap scene with his highly anticipated new single “Sebbrooklyn!*”. The song gives fans a small taste for what’s potentially in store for the star’s new direction but instead of sounding like an expansion of his previous album, it sounds like a smoother and tasty reboot. Listeners already have an idea of what a Lil Sebby song will sound like but “Sebbrooklyn!*” is more sophisticated and straightforward. His style is fresh and the flow just got funkier.

“Sebbrooklyn!*” stands out for its maximalist, slick and polished production. The single is a druggy kaleidoscope of timbres and textures, making room for psychedelic trap drums, hazy synth noises, haunted sound effects, Rihanna-esque vocal swells, futuristic start-stop song hits while remaining cohesive and sonically structured. “Sebbrooklyn!*” is a funhouse trip par excellence, and there are several cuts on the full length album that will surely still be heard booming from clubs, college parties and hiphop radio well into the future.

“Sebbrooklyn!*” is available now on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Apple Music and all the major services.

Boston born Lil Sebby is a Hip Hop artist who is quickly gaining international notoriety and positive acknowledgement from his peers. Now living in Brooklyn, New York, the auto-tune aficionado separates himself from others in the genre with a familiar yet unique twist to the game, regularly bringing exceptional lyrics and captivating live performances to the table. Whether you’re in the mood to jump up and party or just listen to Hip Hop with a spin, Lil Sebby is the ultimate showman.

Lil Sebby’s debut album release, “The Sebbalution!*”, exceeded all expectations, with strong streaming numbers and local buzz helping the record make its way around the underground scene. As a follow up, Sebby’s newest project, “Sebbrooklyn!*”, enters a genre many may find foreign for the 23-year old. While still incorporating his signature autotune and infectious hype, Lil Sebby finds himself tapping into the “drill music” scene for inspiration; providing a whole new outlook on Lil Sebby and his bright future.

Emma Pierson Releases “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” Single/Video

Emma Pierson has released her debut single “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” in the midst of the maelstrom of Covid 19. It is an homage, in the style of Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, to the value of memories and the relationship that must be fastened to preserve them.

Emma Pierson is a young, vital voice in the pop music pantheon, of precociousness beyond her years. She has a ratcheting sense of unease, coupled with her hope and optimism. "Don't Forget to Remember Me" offers powerful resolution in order to maintain relationships. She layers the emotions of missing people and dealing with loss poignantly, a performance that is beautifully crafted and delivers a powerful voice on the threshold of change.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Emma Pierson has been singing and writing song lyrics since the age of four. The natural-born performer, who was recognized with relative pitch early on, started her formal training at the prestigious Stages Music Arts when she was 9-years-old. Emma first worked with singer/songwriter and instructor Ashley Higginbotham, and soon began to pursue other musical outlets at Stages, including musical theater, as well as guitar with instructor Brennan McShane. She later joined a Beatles cover band, and went on to perform—alone and with her band—at various open mic nights and music festivals at Baltimore’s Union Collective.

At age 11, inspired by an upcoming move to Austin, Texas, Emma wrote and recorded her debut single, “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” with the help of talented musicians and producers at Stages Music Arts. Ashley Higginbotham and Brennan McShane collaborated with Emma on the composition. Charles Simon, the General Manager at Stages, produced the sound recording along with engineer Dave Nachodsky, who recorded/mixed/mastered the song. Video work for the music video was done by Tim Szczesniak. Emma’s eventual move to Austin opened the doors for her to continue her musical endeavors under the guidance of celebrated singer/songwriters, Chad and Natasha Hudson. Along the way, Emma covered numerous pop hits, seen on YouTube at Emma Pierson.

"An American Lie" Single/Video Release - Rory D'Lasnow

It takes a special kind of courage to put any form of rebellion into one's music. There is more than just a melody, but a crucial message from the artist in the forefront of one's song when doing so.

"An American Lie", Rory D’Lasnow's new single, is a powerful diatribe against hypocritical views society holds for its citizens. He attributes the responsibility for false ideals to "abuse of power, and negligence in response - which has been going on for centuries" - Rory says.

He is both an originator and collector of grievances many minorities hold, thus the emergence of activists and artists to chronicle them. From the trailblazer perspective, D'Lasnow delivers the promise of change and optimism for all.

The song has a hopeful beauty to it during these chaotic times. There are traces of American country music, but also the influence of alternative radio indie pop. It starts off rather pretty and kicks in to a more anthemic rock ballad. 'Shut it down and start it over, there's a story still to tell' is exactly what needs to be done regarding acts of racial injustice and systemic racism. We live in a broken society built to work against minorities and communal equality. D'Lasnow sings about this, suggesting we must rebuild the entire organization of how we live day to day.

“My hope is that we can unite as a human race to eliminate the bigotry and prejudice that is so rampant in society today. My goal is to use my voice in the best way I can to stand up for equality and justice”

Rory D’Lasnow has performed at distinguished venues such as The Knitting Factory, The Bowery Electric, Pianos and Rockwood Music Hall, Revolution Music Hall on Long Island, and The Saint and Brighton Bar on the Jersey Shore - as well as numerous festivals, and has been fanatically prolific while in quarantine. He has dedicated all proceeds to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. He is slated to perform at the Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival in 2021. On a side note, D'Lasnow plays guitar upside down and backwards, perhaps leading to his daring homage to Babyface, Buddy Miles, Jimmy Cliff, and Dick Dale.

He is truly an original: fresh, intensified and highly perceptive about what America is all about.

“An American Lie”, the new single/video from emerging East Coast based Singer/Songwriter Rory D’Lasnow, is now available on Spotify, YouTube and all the other major services. All proceeds from sales and streams of the song will go to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

The song, produced by Hidden In Plain View guitarist Rob Freeman (Gym Class Heroes, Armor For Sleep, Cobra Starship, Hit The Lights) was written among the ever-increasing instances of violence against people of color in America. It speaks to the ever widening dichotomy of “An American Lie”; the supposed promise of liberty, justice and equality for all. D’Lasnow holds the belief that we as Americans are pledging our allegiance to a false ideal that is not fully realized for many of our citizens.

All proceeds go to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Please donate below:

DRUG COUPLE SHARE NEW SINGLE "2027" VIA THE BIG TAKEOVER / ANNOUNCE NEW EP CHOOSE YOUR OWN APOCALYPSE OUT AUGUST 14TH VIA PAPERCUP MUSIC

Today, creative duo and real life couple Drug Couple share the first single "2027" off of their upcoming EP, Choose Your Own Apocalypse, due out August 14th via PaperCup Music. Starting off with a bright, alt-folk sound, the song "suddenly grinds into higher gear near its end with a blast of jagged guitar distortion swirling like a dream-rock tempest around the pair’s coolly musing vocals," praises The Big Takeover, who premiered the track. "2027" follows the story of a couple of ghosts hanging out in NYC seven years after the 2020 Apocalypse -- oddly prescient, both the song and EP were written long before this year and all of its events occurred.

Their sophomore EP, Choose Your Own Apocalypse, is a collection of songs about finding someone special to share the end-times with. They started writing and recording the EP back in the summer of 2016, as events were leading up to the election of Donald Trump and it already seemed certain that, one way or the other, Armageddon was right around the corner. Drug Couple decided to make an album based around the concept of falling in love mid-apocalypse without fully realizing that’s exactly what they were doing.

A meditation on the idea of holding on tight to love during the worst of times, the album (as well as their recently released single “Protest Song”) proved to be oddly prescient, written long before 2020 turned out to be one of the scariest and most trying years in recent memory. Drug Couple hopes that their clairvoyance wasn’t causal, though they’d be lying if they said they didn’t feel partially responsible for the disintegration of the very fabric of our society.

Choose Your Own Apocalypse is a psychedelic, phantasmal record that draws influence from REM, Primal Scream, Exile era Rolling Stones, and Liz Phair. The EP features Becca on bass, vocals, and vibraphone. Miles on guitar, vocals, keyboard, drums, programming and production, and Pastor Greg on drums.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN APOCALYPSE EP - TRACKLISTING
01. 2027
02. No Legged Dog
03. Bottomless
04. The Ghost
05. Missing To Mars
06. Ain't That Heavy

Drug Couple is Miles and Becca. They met in 2015 and they just want to make cool art together forever.

A real life couple, as well as creative duo, Drug Couple’s music showcases the ongoing dialogue they’re engaged in, and the spirit of deep collaboration that colors their songwriting as well as their lives at home together. The pair released their debut EP ‘Little Hits’ in November of 2019, establishing their unique brand of “off-kilter indie” (The Deli). Their sophomore EP, Choose Your Own Apocalypse is a collection of songs about finding someone special to share the end-times with.

The In Out: Prophetic “plague apostles” captured on tape performing LIVE on Harvard Radio in 1995

Formed in Boston, MA 1992 by vocalist/guitarist Todd Nudelman and guitarist David Pierce, The In Out began as a “peculiar gathering” that twiddled and fiddled with ungrounded, buzzing Traynor amps, vintage junk guitars, a clarinet, drum machines, often barely capable of tuning - never mind playing - their own instruments. The two of them forged in fire a crude signature trademark working in the dusty basement spaces of Allston, Mass that would eventually evolve itself into a widely cherished but often neglected musical institution.

The band auditioned several drummers in the early 90s until they discovered ‘a-girl-about-town’ by the name of Mickey Dennison who seemed to provide just the right anchor and was instantly hired by the band. The band played their first gig at the Middle East Cafe in Cambridge, Mass on June 10, 1992.

After that first gig, Mickey eventually went AWOL and the band was back in their basement forge recording their sketches on tape machines with 100% conviction and zero fidelity. It wasn’t long before Nudelman ran into 20-year-old, multi-instrumentalist “pot-smoking punk” Matt Hunter at a telemarketing gig in the city of Boston.

Todd had overheard Hunter discussing on the phone some noise dispute with his landlord over the weekend where it was noted in the conversation that the drums were “a little bit too loud.” Hunter was immediately approached by Nudelman to audition for The In Out that very weekend, and with a taxi full of drums, amps, pedals, guitars, he moved right into the rehearsal room of 425 R Cambridge Street in Lower Allston and for 9 more years, The In Out began to write and light its long but glorious fuse into the annals of indie-rock legend hood.

“The original three” as David Pierce liked to call them, weren’t really a band, but more like a weird, mystic, cult in some ways. Their weekly meetings in that basement seance was a place where topics of Nietzsche, Astrology, Cybernetics, Numerology, The Occult, and the Unabomber, would inspire Nudelman and his sharp-witted vocal attack around Pierce’s crude, precise, mathematical guitar style. They developed wired, bone-dry riffs that Hunter would pummel over, which resulted in a distorted, frenzied, repetitive yet fantastic beam of sound that would bounce around those basement four walls for a few more years until Nudelman and the band were ready to tell the world that they had finally arrived.

In September 1994, Todd Nudelman, under the label guise Viscera-Versa had pressed up 1,000 copies of their first single “Levitt House Gone Wrong” with the A-side at 45 rpm while the B-side was cut, oddly, at 33 rpm, making it a single that demanded a reaction. After a round of roughly self-circulated and distributed college radio promotion, the band were soon “discovered” by Harvard Radio, WHRB’s Record Hospital in the late winter of 1995. The band had no idea that the station was heavily playing their debut single, and others like MIT’s WMBR had also caught the buzz, and much to the surprise of the band, pretty soon, the single would chart at #1 on both stations simultaneously in the Spring of 1995.

By then, the band had already completed their first-ever lineup replacement (something that became a regular and often needed action during their existence) around David Pierce’s sudden turnaround back to his home field in Lancaster, PA, months prior where he briefly considered a career in minor-league baseball.

James Poolner was drafted in by way of the ‘telemarketing-rock-n-roll-waiver-line’ network, to fill in for Pierce, just in time for the band’s first-ever live radio transmission on WHRB and the band's first sell-out show, opening for The Dead C and Harry Pussy at the Middle East. Poolner brought an interesting and more developed musicality to the band around that time.

Eventually, the band released two more posthumous singles of the “original three” in 1995 with “Hatched and Scrambled” and in 1996 with “Lawn Trousers”. By then, Pierce was back in the band hitting his yellow and black Mustang guitar sternly into the fold, along with Nudelman’s vocal snarl and lead guitar, with Poolner shifting from bass and guitar, whilst Hunter firmly cemented in concrete blocks on his drums, drafted in his long-time musical companion and sweetheart, Keri Lynn Dyrdahl on Farfisa organ to complete a formidable five-star pentagram around the busy, competitive clubs and music scene (s) of Boston. The band shared stages with local bands Come, Helium, The Paper Squares, The Cheater Slicks, New Radiant Storm King, along with international stars like Jad Fair, Super Furry Animals, Donkey, Country Teasers, Cibo Matto, Chrome Cranks, and countless more.

This five-piece began to assemble itself around the idea of recording its debut album Cosm0sis in September 1996 and took themselves to NYC and Jerry Teel’s infamous all-analog recording studio on Avenue A, The Fun House, recording 11 songs in one 8 hour session and then mixed the next day in just 4 quick hours.

The LP was released a year later on NYC’s Dark Beloved Cloud label and got widely distributed and into the hands of BBC Radio 1’s John Peel, only to end up years later being archived as a treasure in his very own personal collection.

The In Out continued under many forms and lineups for decades after and is looking to archive and curate some of its earliest release output onto the digital platforms it avoided and decried for many years.

We are quite intrigued at this development and will keep you posted, in the meantime, enjoy a rare tape of that WHRB broadcast in full with interviews, insights and much more! Get ready for these “plague apostles’ who called it 30 years ago! Ladies and germophobes… ICYMI, The In Out.

Greg Hoy & The Boys "Leaving While You Stay" - Single and Video Premiere

Greg Hoy's newest single/video, “Leaving You While You Stay” opens with a crunching blues riff and howling vocals about watching and observing people as they stay put during the current political climate. The song builds nicely with a solid and steady groove along ripping guitar riffs. The comparison to Led Zeppelin is gloriously unshakeable and authentic in its rawest rock form and vintage production.

From the rhythm section of Dennis Galway (drums), Mark Nichoson (bass), or the vocal range and tonality, as well as lyrical structured flow of Greg Hoy, the band sounds like a post-punk Led Zeppelin brought into 2020. It was recorded to classic two inch tape at Tiny Telephone studios in San Francisco, heavy and in your face, the way true rock and roll was meant to sound.

The "Leaving While You Stay" video is an exceptionally resonant response to our precarious circumstances: If you elect a clown, you're going to get a circus. The impact of an unparalleled catastrophe in the extreme. The track weaves an introspective thread of political consciousness and humanism while thumping away to an unstoppable hard-hitting drum beat.

"Leaving While You Stay" was to coincide with the canceled west coast summer tour #saveourstages = COVID PAIN.

The single, part of a batch of 11 new tracks gets its video release today on YouTube. Watch below:
