Brooke Moriber Drops Evocative New Single “So Do I”, Presenting and Performing at “Women in Country” Show at The Bitter End in NYC

Current Country music sensation Brooke Moriber’s new single “So Do I” will be available on Fri. July 19th! Written by Brooke Moriber, with Jessica Cayne and Karen Kosowski, “So Do I” is a song about admitting your regrets in ending a relationship and hoping that the one you lost feels as lost without you as you do without them.

When I’m drivin’ down the interstate

Or dancing in a crowded room

And I hear your name

In the kitchen with the radio on

And they’re playing our favorite song

I go back to that summer night

Said you’d never let me go

Under the city lights

Were you lyin’ when you crossed your heart

Cause now I don’t know where you are

Movin on or wondering what went wrong

This bed feels empty at night and so do I

My friends keep asking me why and so do I

Feeling like I won’t recover

Like there’ll never be another

And I wonder

Do you pretend you’re alright, cause so do I

So do I

“So Do I” was produced by Karen Kosowski, Mixed by Craig Alvin and Mastered by Greg Calbi. The record was Engineered by David Kalmusky at Addiction Sound Studios (Nashville TN) and by Karen Kosowski at The Holodeck South (Nashville TN) featuring musicians Sol Littlefield on electric guitars, Marc Rogers - Electric Bass & Synth Bass, Justin Schipper - Steel, Chad Cromwell - Drums and Nathan Chapman on Acoustic Guitar, Resonator Guitar + Banjo.

Brooke also recently launched "Nashville in New York", a series of Nashville style songwriters' rounds sponsored by Music Choice Network bringing some of country music's top talents to her hometown New York City. On Saturday July 20th “Nashville in New York (NINY)” returns to the legendary The Bitter End on Bleecker Street in NYC for the fourth installment of the new bi-monthly series. Brooke will, as always, host and perform at the intimate acoustic storytellers style performance event, this time celebrating the Women Of Country alongside acclaimed songwriters Callista Clark, Emily Shackelton, Averie Bielski and Claire Wyndham with special guest M.C. Kelly Ford. Presented by Music Choice and sponsored in part by KICKER Performance Audio, Suerte Tequila and Taylor Guitars. Get Tickets here.

Previous NINY shows have showcased the talents of Victoria Banks, Phil Barton, Jeff Cohen, Kara DioGuardi, Ian Flanigan, Randall Fowler, Toby Lightman, Jon Stone and members of the 615 Collective (which includes tunesmiths Sarah Darling, Aaron Goodvin, Michael Logen and Nicole Witt).

Brooke Moriber is a singer/songwriter who has paved an unconventional path for herself in Country music. After getting her start at a young age professionally performing on Broadway, Brooke turned to songwriting as a teenager to cope with losing her eyesight to a rare eye disease. When the disease went into remission after a difficult four years, Brooke began traveling to Nashville to tell her own stories. Praised for her “clarion voice” (Associated press), she went on to release her first single “Cry Like A Girl” independently and later signed with Nashville’s Reviver Records.

Brooke's music has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Country (Little Bit of You, Half A Heart, Down to Nothing) and Country Christmas playlists (All I Want for Christmas is You), Sirius XM's Velvet, CMT online, Music Choice Network and the Music Row Country Breakout radio chart. Hailed as a "stellar songwriter and a powerhouse vocalist" (Country Swag) and a "force to be reckoned with in Country music" (Celeb Secrets Country).

WEALTH HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH MONEY AND HOME HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH LOCATION ON "CAROLINA" NEW SINGLE BY THE FRANNYO SHOW

The FrannyO Show has released “Carolina” now available on Spotify and all the major music services, from the forthcoming album “Box Of Time”, out August 9th.

“I consider myself extremely wealthy," says Fran O'Connell, "but not in a conventional way. What I’m doing right now, this very day—as a nurse and business owner-turned-musician—makes me feel wealthy beyond measure in happiness and friendships.”

Fran believes he was given a gift early in life when he had a first-hand experience with death and dying—an experience he chose to parlay into his life's work. As a boy, Fran grew up with an extended family living in the same house. There were eight people, including a grandfather who did not move to a nursing home until he was 97 years old—where he lived just two weeks before dying. “My grandfather never missed a family birthday party or other celebration,” Fran remembers. “He was there, and I saw how much that enriched his life, saw it up close and personal.”

Fran was 20 years old when his grandfather died. He had been studying speech pathology at the University of Massachusetts. He didn’t really know what he wanted to do in his life. So, he took a basic nursing class—Nursing 101, basically—pretty much because he needed three credits and thought the course would be easy. But Fran hadn't forgotten what he'd learned from watching his grandfather: how important it was for someone to be at home as long as possible.

Meanwhile, about ten years ago, with three grown daughters, a second wife named Kim, and daydreams about running for mayor of Holyoke (which he eventually did), Fran was at his vacation home in Vieques, Puerto Rico, when his life took a dramatic turn. It all started with a guitar he had bought his oldest daughter, Alison. Never really warming to the instrument, she had left it in Vieques—under a bed, it turned out, which is where Fran found it late one afternoon.

Fast-forward to today, and Fran is known as the dynamo that powers The FrannyO Show. Two EPs, a full-length, and a steady stream of singles releases later, the band sits on the verge of releasing its sophomore album, Big Box of Time. The album further cements what Fran's following has known for years: that Fran is an irrepressible songwriter/frontman who's carved his own signature blend of Americana, blues, country, and rock.

"If you put Delta Blues, New England folk, classic Country, Irish tongue-in-cheek humor, and Caribbean rhythm into a pot and let it simmer," Fran explains, "you'd get The FrannyO Show."

"Carolina," the first offering from Big Box of Time, drives home Fran's long-held belief that home literally is where the heart is—it has little to do with physical location, just as wealth has little to do with how much money we have.

"This song," says Fran, "was written with my daughter Briana in mind. I can remember going through the divorce with her mom. I left the family home where my wife and three daughters lived. I literally felt like I was a man without a home—until something happened that I'll never forget. I can vividly remember Briana running up to greet me after I moved out . As she hugged me, I bent down to kiss her head and smelled her hair. It was at that moment that I understood I still had a home. My 'home' was wherever my daughters were, because home isn't a place but a sense of belonging in each other's hearts."

“I've tried," he continues, "to make certain that I never forgot the gifts from the people I was taking care of—what they told me about their lives, their regrets, etc. I've learned from those experiences and applied them to both the people I love and the music I make.”

British Rockers "The Babys" Rock Boulton Center in Bay Shore Thursday, June 21st

Its not many bands in history whose iconic music and live performances can truly stand the test of time, but as they embark on their 40th Anniversary Tour along with the pending release of their brand new album “Timeless: Anthology II”, The Babys are ready to bring a taste of the old and the the new to Bay Shore’s YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, June 21st at 8PM!

With their current lineup consisting of co-founders Wally Stocker (lead guitar) and Tony Brock (drums), along with lead vocalist/bassist John Bisaha, guitarist Joey Sykes, keyboardist Walter Ino and The Babettes - Holly Bisaha and Elisa Chadbourne -Stocker recently shared, "I personally think Timeless has a more distinctive sound to it production wise, mainly because the tracks all came from the same studio, unlike the first Anthology. I am very pleased that we managed to maintain that 'Babys' sound!"

Both Stocker and Brock are confident that this album will be well-received. "Some fans will never let go of the original versions, but I know a true fan will be open-minded enough to enjoy where we are now, especially with our incredible lead singer, John Bisaha (and other members)," Brock added. Bisaha's presence and enthusiasm are both powerful on stage and behind the scenes. "We all bring something new into the making of this record, even Tony and Wally. There's a 'live' feel to this record. We've brought all the glitz and glamour with the arrangements and orchestrations," Bisaha stated. Seasoned guitarist/songwriter Joey Sykes provides a new dimension and nuance, who shared, "The surprise is that The Babys actually recorded another greatest hits album. For hardcore Babys fans, and music fans in general, that's a great thing to have a few new ones that we put our stamp on."

The music of The Babys has withstood the test of time, with Bisaha concluding, "These songs are part of the storyboards of our lives. These songs are Timeless – and so – our album shall be titled as such."

Born in 1976, THE BABYS took on the classic rock world head first with a full stage musical experience, giving rise to what quickly came to be known as their 'signature sound'. Billboard chart-climbers like "Every Time I Think of You", "Midnight Rendezvous" and "Isn't It Time" helped to launch them into worldwide recognition while also helping to carve out their permanent place in music history. THE BABYS were the first band ever signed to a million dollar record deal with Chrysalis Records on the basis of a 'new' thing called 'video'. THE BABYS classic songs have withstood the test of time - with their hits still being played in rotation around the globe, and influencing bands of 'the day' and emerging artists respectively. Rock radio DJ/music enthusiast Paul Nicholls of Feel the Steel on Platinum Rock Radio UK echoed that sentiment during his interview with THE BABYS in August 2016, stating, "Without The Babys being around, music in the 80's would've been a lot different."Now, as they continue their 40th Anniversary Tour with upcoming stops in MD, NY, and MA - Long Island fans fans can get a taste of the nostalgic rock they love, mixed in with some BRAND NEW songs as they get ready to play Bay Shore’s Boulton Center on Thursday, June 21st at 8PM!
